Livi is very good at nicknaming people. They are always creative names that seem to stick. I thought I would post a few of them here for the record....
Dad : Doo Doo and A Dee A Dee
Mom: Wuckus
Ethan: Ocean
Zoey: Kit Heart and Meatball
Herself: Princess Purple or Sweetie

Olivia's Moon

Olivia loves the moon! As we were headed inside the other night, Olivia waved at the moon and shouted, "See you tomorrow, moon." After walking a few steps, she looked up again and said, "But you can follow me if you want to." I really think she believes the moon follows her and only her. She will tell people that it's her moon.

Livi's Thoughts on Shadows

It was dark by the time we got to our hotel room on Tuesday night, and the parking lot lights were casting shadows on everything. Most 3-year-olds would be scared of the strange shadows, but not Livi. As she walked into the hotel, she proudly stated, "I'm not afraid any more, because my shadow is always with me."

Young Chap!

On one of Olivia's leapster games it says, "Well done young chap!"
The other night Olivia said, "Dad, I think they call me chap because I like to wear chapstick."

Manners and Colors

I've been really working on using manners at lunch time with the day care. Lately, we've been discussing things that are okay to talk about while eating, and things that we shouldn't talk about when eating. The kids' favorite is going around the table and having everyone state their favorite color, food, animal, etc. So last week, Ethan asked, "What's your favorite color?"
To which Livi replied, "Vomit!"
I guess we still need to work on appropriate table talk!

Don't Shoot My Books!

A little boy in my day care was pretending to shoot things with an imaginary gun a couple of days ago. He went over to Olivia's books and starting "shooting" them.  Olivia shouted, "Don't shoot my books! That will get blood on them! That will wreck them!"
I learn something new every day. I had no idea that books could bleed!

Our Little Voice of Reason

Dylan brought a toy lion to our house. When you squeeze it, it sings a little song. The voice is a little higher pitched, so Ethan was telling Dylan that it must be a girl lion. Dylan argued that it was a boy. The bow on it's neck is orange, so that didn't help solve anything. They shouted back and forth for a little bit before Livi calmly said, "It's a boy. Girl lions don't have manes."
